No one leaves me comments anymore

This saddens me.

So. I just finished reading Paper Towns for honest-to-god the 10th time since last November. I am filled with the intense joy. John Green is the best author ever. I love him.

Also, I'm babysitting tonight. A little nervous, but I know the kids. Just, I'm watching the baby this time, not 8-year-old Emily and 6-year-old Jonah. Little Ruby is like 6 months old. So. A little scawwy.

But! I have to earn poster money somehow. XD I still want a Harry Potter 6 poster AND I'd like a new shirt from Hot Topic.
So. Yeah. I'm gonna babysit Ruby.

Hey, it'll be good. Welp, bye!
ALSO. Leave me comments OR ELSE.

Squeeeeeee

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS ME NERDING OUT OVER MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE.

Soooooooo much exciting news! I just listened to MCR playing one of the songs from their NEW, UNRELEASED album. The song was called Death by Disco (I believe) and it is sooooo good. I am so freaking excited right now, peoples.

ALSO, Gerard's Wife just had her baaaaaaby. It's a giiiiirl. I'm so haaaappy. I wanna see a piiiiicture.

Anyway, that's all for now. I LOVE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE AND GERARD IS A SEXYPANTS.

I love Dumbledore.

Let that be known to the world.
I also love Luna Lovegood, Fred and George Weasley, Mrs. Weasley, and Hagrid.

And Dobby and Hedwig and Pigwidgeon and Crookshanks and and and and

Yeah.
I just bought the 4th Harry Potter movie. JOY.
Everyone I know hates Harry's hair in that movie. But... I kind of love it. It's all fluffy and pretty and stuff. I want to stroke it.

Also, everyone MUST read The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay. I had to read it for my Honors English class (summer work, yo) and I put it off because the back jacket does a horrid job of making it sound interesting but IT IS SO AMAZING. The characters are the most wonderful, rich, real, (and in some cases EVIL) and brilliantly written characters since Harry Potter.

And you all know how much I love ol' Scarhead.
So anyway, go read The Power of One. It's NOT a self-help book like the title makes it sound. It's an amazing novel about apatheid (sp?) and the Boer war and it's just brilliant.

Anyway, how goes it?

The creatures of doom

What alien planet am I on???

Because this does not seem like Earth.
In Arizona, we did not have dementor spiders that double in size every time they suck the soul out of an enormous, bulbous beetle.
We did not have giant earwigs with razor-edged pincers.
There were no long-bodied cellar spiders, creatures that look like daddy longlegs but aren't because their legs are firmer and pointer and can get LONGER THAN MY FATHER'S FINGERS.

And the mosquitos are huge and scary and vicious.

So. Who wants to come visit?
;)

Oh, god.

Have you ever met someone who you liked so much and was so perfect but turned out they were exactly the person you could not have?
I thought I was far over him, but noooo, I am not. Every time I see a picture of him, I feel the exact same way I did last summer. I can still smell his cologne.
I can still remember hugging him.
I still get those butterflies.
I still remember how much it meant to me when he told me I had a beautiful singing voice.
I still remember how happy it made me feel when I read his little note in my book, even though by then I knew 110% that he could NEVER be... well, to say it sappily, mine.

Something must be horribly, horribly wrong with me.

Also, I have shingles. Which sucks. It hurts really bad!!!!

*sigh*

I love music.

And you all should too.

How is everyone?

Singing, I can hear them singing...

SO BASICALLY GREEN DAY WAS THE BEST CONCERT IN THE HISTORY OF CONCERTS, PEOPLE. NOT EVEN KIDDING.

The Bravery, their opening band, was kind of crappy but whatever. Green Day came on with 21st Century Breakdown, and I swear to God I jumped up the minute the music started and screamed along. At first not that many people around me were being AWESOME but then Billie Joe was like "I want every motherf*cker in this room to get the f*ck up RIGHT NOW!" And of course everyone obeys Billie Joe. He's amazing. <3

Anyway, they played so many fantastic songs. My hands are, literally, bruised from the crazy amount of clapping I did. There was clapping, there was stomping, there was arm-waving, and there was fists-in-the-air. My feet were killing me on the ride home, because I did not sit down once in two hours.

There was one part when Mike (bassist) put on, like, bunny ears, and Tre (drummer) had on this flowered hat, and Billie Joe was cracking up the whole time, and then he put on a policeman's hat. It was epic.

They pulled people on stage and stuff, too! They pulled this one little kid up at the end of East Jesus Nowhere and it was the funniest damn thing I'd ever seen. Little Henry. I was jealous of that child.

He also got three different people to sing the three verses of Longview, and the first chick was SO off-key and it was horrid, the dude for verse #2 sang it wrong but it was okay. Billie Joe started laughing when he sang it wrong, but not in a mean way, just like "omg lol" sort of. The last girl who sang did fantastic though, AND THEY ALL GOT TO HUG BILLIE JOE. FEEL MY WRATH, PEOPLE, FEEL IT. I wanted to move into the pit, because Billie Joe said in the very beginning "We need about 200 more people down here" but my dad was like "No." *scowls*

Anyway, he got some kid from the audience to play the guitar for Jesus of Suburbia, which was so freaking cool dude.

There was so much fire and explosions and epic moving background screens and flashing lights and strobe lights and multicolored lights... it was so amazing. It was such a good concert, and I screamed along to every word. Yes, even the swearwords. I dropped more F-bombs and S-bombs last night than I ever have in my entire life. (considering I pretty much never say either of those swears aloud.) But dude, no one could hear me, and everyone was saying it, so I did not care one smidge.

I got this epic t-shirt, too. (:

OH and there was this freaking drunk pink Easter bunny up on stage in between sets, and I was like O_O because it was this huge freaking pink rabbit!!! WHY.

Anyway, Billie Joe is the coolest man ever born (he, like, mooned stage left. It was hysterical. Oh my God.) and so are Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt. Tre was like, conducting the crowd with his drumstick. I love him.

It was the best night of my life, and the best concert that has ever been concerted.

I was singing the songs all night long.

I had a Snickers bar for dinner, and when I got home at 2:45 in the morning, I collapsed into bed in my Green Day shirt and jeans. I'm still wearing them.

[sings to self]
Billie Joe: "I said Heyyyyy ohhhhhh."
Crowd: "HEYYYYY OHHHHH."
Billie Joe: "I SAID Heyyyyyy ohhhhhh."
Crowd: "HEYYYY OHHHHH!"
[/sings to self]

There was this one part when Billie Joe held the Heyyyy-ohhhh for like 2 minutes, and then the crowd had to repeat it back for that long. It was awesome.

He ended the show with Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), which was perfect cuz the lyrics go "it's something unpredictable but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life..."

I certainly did, Billie Joe. I certainly did.

Tomorrow

I am so excited for the concert, peeps. Seriously.

Also, I love Harry Potter.
And Green Day.
And My Chemical Romance.
And the Young Writer's Council.
And Draco Malfoy.

But I think everyone is aware of my Draco obsession.

;)

Peace, huggles, and nerdy love to you all!

An Excellent Turn of Events

^ ^ ^
Green Day

As I'm sure most of you know, my birthday is on the 7th, which is, you know, YAY.
But my parents, you see, are very impatient people.
They did not want to wait until the 7th to give me my present.
So, on the 2nd, they handed me a large, extremely heavy box.
Inside was a stack of magazines.
Ha-ha, you say? But wait.
I removed the many magazines to reveal....
A Fed Ex envelope. Excitedly, I removed the envelope and looked inside. At first, I thought it was empty. But then, in the corner, were two rectangles of paper.

With boiling glee, I took them out.

And they were:
TICKETS

TO SEE THE FOLLOWING BAND IN CONCERT:

GREEN DAY.
GREEEEEN DAAAAAAY!!!!!

Needless to say, I squee'd like a proper fangirl and jumped up and down, clutching the tickets like they were gold.

I AM SEEING GREEN DAY IN CONCERT.
IN BOSTON.
I can't WAIT!
Green Day happens to be one of my all-time favorite bands.
And I am going to SEE THEM.

I HAVE THE BEST PARENTS EVER!
But
it's not until the 20th.

I don't think I can waaaait.

*sings* Do you know your enemy? Do you know your enemy? Well gotta know the enemy rah-hey!
[/singing]

I love music. :D

Being

I went to the Botanical Gardens recently, and it was breathtaking. Nature is so fantastic. It's just amazing how... brilliant the Earth is. It's beautiful.

And I got to thinking... why don't more people appreciate this miracle of life, the tiny miracles we take for granted? Like the rain. I just think, "this is falling from the sky. There is water pouring out of the sky. How fantastic is that?!"
Or butterflies. They turn from caterpillars to beautiful butterflies just by going inside a cocoon! How amazing is that?! It's freaking AMAZING!!!
But people tend to either ignore these miracles or pick them apart. They want to know how, why, so that they can chemically alter it. So that they can control it. Have power over it. Covet it.
I want to know and learn, don't get me wrong. But when I think about how some people spend all their days sitting and reading books in their rooms about the chemical processes that make rain fall or butterflies grow, and never go out in it, I can't help but wonder: doesn't that take away from the miracle of life itself?
I think I could learn so much just by sitting and watching a butterfly emerge from a chrysalis.
So why must we always have to know to be?
Why can't we just simply...

be.

The Nasty

Twitter's nice and all, but some of the spamming is starting to creep me the hell out.
This person is following me named Tabatha Griffin. I'm like, "ooh who is this?", like any normal person would, right?
Well I DARE not repeat what their lone Tweet was, because it made me want to spew all over the place. Let's just say it had to do with... the nasty. And boy parts.

WHY.
WHY.
WHY.
Head, meet desk. *headdesk*

Yep. Anyway, how've you all been?
:-P

Cyanide

I want to say I'm happy,
But I'm not.
Honestly I'm terrified
And these half-truths you're feeding me
Leave me floundering, drowning.
We promise ourselves one thing
Then give ourselves another.
No one stops for a break because
We're already broken.
You convinced me we should strive
For it, told me we could survive
On hatred and greed;
That nagging hunger we've got to feed.
My head's buzzing,
Drums are pounding,
Funeral march is our new procession
Clinging to that all-important want: possession.
We don't own it, it owns us
Crumbling foundations, skeletons rust
In our machine bodies, but nobody cares
We are all so utterly unprepared
For what must come, the inevitable.
The end.

Cyanide by Audrey H. (c)2009

I feel angsty today.

Eeeeeee! EEEEE!!!!

I love My Chemical Romaaaaance you guyssssss.

All my followers get giant cookies.

Yay! Hugs! I'm so proud of you guys for being awesome! Everyone knows that by being awesome you have decreased suck levels by 13% each!!!

In other [unrelated] news, I am reading Outside Beauty by Cynthia Kadohata. I met Cynthia back in Arizona and have a hardback copy of "Weedflower" [which, coincidentally, I won] and it is signed by her! I love her books. Outside Beauty is a brilliant book so far, so intriguing and fun.

I finished Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson and it was one of the best books I've read in a long time. [lie; pretty much every book I've read since I started my book log has been amazing.] Spencer was my favorite character, I want to marry him.

Speaking of attraction...

I have discovered my... I don't know, the feature in the opposite sex that I find truly sexy.

You ready for this?
Arms.

Yes. Arms.

I just look at Taylor Lautner's arms in the New Moon Poster and I just want to pet them. They're so... GRAWR. Yummy!!!

And Gerard's arms... amazing. [Gerard Way, lead singer of My Chemical Romance, for the ignorant among you.] I have a picture of him on my Zune that, when I look at it, I don't stare at his face.
I stare at his sexyfine arms.

I realize this revelation may lose me some followers.... I AM NOT THAT CREEPY NORMALLY.

*ahem*

Anyway, I've been packing up my room since we move into our new house on FRIDAY!!!

I'm very excited. I'm going to have a Harry Potter/wizarding supplies shelf above my bed. I could pee joy. Harry Potter is my lover.

Also, listen to the acoustic version of Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin. It's gorgeous. And listen to 21 Guns by Green Day. It's off their new album and it's AMAZING. I could eat it for breakfast. It's lovely.

Anyway, have a good night/day/evening/midmorning snack/happy dance!

Yeah, I'm good

So I was writing a scene in my story just now and had to share a piece of my writing:

Something inside him was breaking. It had to be his heart; he was certain that his literal, beating heart was very literally beginning to crack down the middle and shatter into a bloody mess inside of his chest.

YEAH. I think I really like that a lot. The scene is SO sad and kind of gory too, but you know how much I love delicious gore. *grins*

Also, any readers of my blog, could you push the "follow" button? Because my self esteem needs a boost every now and then and having subscribers makes that boost happen.

Have a good night/day/afternoon/sandwich!

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Oh, sadness

I packed up my books yesterday for the move.
It made me sad.
I know we move into the house next week.
But I had to give all my Harry Potter books a hug before I put them in the box.

Nerdy? Oui.
Does anyone else feel this way about their books?

Yes yes yes precious

So this week I have been...

...laughing because: so many things!!!! The best was probably while talking to the brilliant folks from the Telling Room!!!!!

...depressed because: there is not a reason at all for me to be depressed.

...freaking out because: I HAD THE BEST NIGHT EVER.

...reading: Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson. Quite possibly the best book ever.

...listening to: Amy Winehouse

...writing: some bits of my story. It's taken a new turn and I'm loving it!
...happy because: THIS NIGHT. THIS NIGHT.

This week's photos:

Yes I am signing a book!!!! :D

Emilia Dahlin!!!!

AMAZING NIGHT!!!

TONIGHT was amazing!!!!! It was the Telling Room's release of their new anthology, "Tearing Down the Playground" which has a story of mine in it and my photograph is the COVER!!!!! I also sang the song I wrote in their Songwriting class with Emilia Dahlin!!!!!!!!!

I sang in front of soooo many people and they were clapping to the beat and I was glowing I was so happy!

THEN tons of people were coming up to me, exclaiming how good I was and how much I rocked!!!! THEN a woman had me sign the anthology and I got to see Alena (a super nice girl from photography class who wrote a fantastic poem) which rocked because I got her email so we can keep in touch!!!!

AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF we officially closed on the house today!!!!!

THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST DAY EVER. I met a woman from the Portland Hive, the writer's program I'm doing this summer, and she ADORED the short story I sent in for my application. She was telling me how excited she was to have me in the class and I was SO SO SO happy.

I hope every one of you had a good day today. TELL ME something good that happened to you today!!!! Give me a comment and tell me one good thing that happened today for you.

I love you all so so so much.

Audrey, Wait! and music

Book Recommendation: Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway

Review: The reason I picked up this book was because, yes, my name was glaring at me from the cover. Reading the back, I discovered an intriguing story: a 16-year-old girl, Audrey Cuttler, breaks up with her boyfriend, who is the singer of a local band (the Do-Gooders). That night at the band's "gig", Evan (Audrey's now ex-boyfriend) introduces a new song he's written: "Audrey, Wait!". Audrey is humiliated that her ex has written a song about their breakup, of course, but she forgets it after a few weeks. But then it turns out that the boys are now signed on a record deal because of The Song, and in next to no time, "Audrey, Wait!" is in the Top 100. Audrey's life is turned upside-down as she suddenly becomes super-famous, with her own fansites, paparrazzi stalking her like the Black Plague, reporters calling her house every five minutes, and freshmen girls at her high school staring at her like she's some kind of God.
Not to mention she's got a crush on her co-worker at the ice-cream shoppe.

It was a fantasitc, funny, and realistic insight to a music-loving teenage girl's life invaded by sudden unwanted fame. I found a great connection towards Audrey, and not just because we share the same name! I also connected with her love of rock music, concerts, posters, and turning up the volume. It was wel written, with the perfect mix of funny and sweet and sad. I found pulled into the story, and the characters seemed real. Audrey's hilarious narration will keep you turning pages for sure.

I'd suggest a 13+ rating on this book merely because of the swearing and some sexual references. Rating is five stars for sure.

As to music, I'm starting to like Fall Out Boy. Just thought I'd share. =]

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!!! Love you, mom.

My Movie

A video I made for filmmaking class.

A Lit class has to write a report about Twelfth Night. The result is... interesting, to say the least.

HUGE thanks to my classmates and teachers, and my dad for letting me use his music.

OH MY GOD!

http://www.tellingroom.org/stories/stories_anthologies.html

http://www.tellingroom.org/index.html

The anthology by the Telling Room, "Tearing Down the Playground" is going to feature AS THE FIRST STORY NO LESS my short story I wrote in the Telling Room photojournalism class. The story is "The Fence" and is accompanied by a photograph I took.

AND. THE COVER OF THE BOOK. GUESS WHOSE PHOTO THAT IS?

MINE. I TOOK THAT.

I am SO honored and excited and thrilled and ECSTATIC.

NOT TO MENTION. In the Songwriting class I took (also a Telling Room class) I wrote a song called Memory Lane, (music was written by Emilia Dahlin, http://www.myspace.com/emiliadahlinmusic one of my teachers). and during the opening for the book on Wednesday I AM GOING TO PERFORM MY SONG WITH EMILIA. ON STAGE.

I am SO happy. This is like a dream come true. I am so so so grateful to have this opportunity.

AND OH MY GOD MY PHOTOGRAPHY IS BEING USED AS A BOOK COVER AND OH MY GOD MY STORY IS IN A BOOK.

So it's been a while

Hey all!
I've been busy busy busy.

Actually, that's a lie. I just forget about this thing sometimes.

I'm actually a bit ticked off at the moment. This girl borrowed a book of mine and finally is getting it back to me but it now has no cover and the binding is ripped. I gotta admit, I'm seriously irritated.

Anyway, how are YOU?

Friday, May 1, 2009

Blaaaaaaah

I'm in a bad mood for no particular reason. Butt face. (not you. just.... fah. never mind.)

Anyway, hi. Like my new banner? I do. XD

Katy Perry is growing on me.

I hate I Kissed a Girl. I do.

But Hot n Cold is catchy and fun to dance to.

and oh my god. Thinking of You is supreme.

I don't know what to make of myself. Katy Perry??!!

But no. I refuse to be one of "those" people. Who disses music because of people who listen to it. Emo cutters listen to MCR. Does that mean I'm going to cut myself? NO. and those emos are weird. Because MCR is anti-emo and anti-suicide.

But I digress.

And now, photos

Yeah. I've been posting a lot today. Granted, two of the posts were at midnight. So ha.

Re-creating Hogwarts

I wants it, precious.

But in all honesty, I do. I want... a Hogwarts themed room. Not too overboard, but God I love Harry Potter. Some people have created the coolest stuff really cheap.

Like this Potions Trunk that someone made.
Or this Harry Potter mini-trunk thingamajig.
I want to do that!!! It wouldn't be that hard and it would be fun and amazing.
I can't wait till we move into the new house; then my room will be made into awesome.

So I begin my newest "challenge": Re-Creating Hogwarts. I'll take ideas from readers, and look up ideas on Google. I am really excited for this one.

LET THE REDECORATING BEGIN.

I love the fanbase

Oh my god. These boys are amazing.
I love My Chemical Romance and their fans.
Hells yes.

empty mind, full mind

I like it here.
So this week I have been...

...laughing because: mangiggles. The hilarity of mangiggles will NEVER. END.

...depressed because: Rose is not here. Well, as in available to call and pester.

...freaking out because: WE GOT THE HOUSEEEEE.

...reading: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. AMAZING BY THE WAY.

...listening to: Abba

...writing: A SCARY SCENE. YAY.

...happy because: Um. waffles?

So this week I have been...

...depressed because: I thought I could trust a person but I couldn't.

...freaking out because: I actually LIKED the Hannah Montana movie. Whoa.

Basketball and Bike Rides

It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day today. Mom got out the chalk and we played hopscotch. Then we all played basketball. I'm getting pretty good!

Then I got on Sagan's tiny little bike and rode around on it. It killed my knees, which were up by my chin, but it was still fun anyway.

Good lord, the bike swap can't come soon enough!!! I can't WAIT to get a bike!!!!!!!!!

Check out my flickr photostream. Got some awesome new stuff.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GERARD WAY!

My hero, idol, and (shhh) celebrity crush, Gerard Way, is now 32 years old! (whimper)
I'm spending the day listening to MCR (he's the lead singer, just FYI) and looking at pictures of him. Oh, and spamming everywhere with birthday wishes to my favorite singer ever.

I hope everyone knows how much this man means to me. He changed my life.
I love him.
I WILL meet him one day. I guarantee you that.

The HORROR!!!

I actually cannot sleep because I'm bored and would rather post this blog.
Gosh.

Sorry, I'm being one of those odd people again.
Gah, I'm so boring.

Hmph.

I like ripping off people.

Just kidding.
Olivia, I really hope you don't mind I "stole" your idea...
FULL CREDIT TO OLIVIA (http://talesofagreeneyedgirl.blogspot.com/) FOR THIS.

Anyway, here's the thing I borrowed... XD

So this week I have been...

...laughing because: I hid my brother's bear in the bathroom cupboard by piling pad boxes on him. You had to be there. XD

...depressed because: all sorts of random crap that is both irrelevant and unimportant.

...freaking out because: MAUREEN JOHNSON SPOKE TO ME ON TWITTER!!!! (proof)

...reading: Autumn Quest by Terie Garrison

...listening to: Muse

...writing: a BEDA blog

La La La...

People suck sometimes, la la la.
I got so mad (read my BEDA blog entry for that story) last night that I couldn't even bear to listen to My Chemical Romance.
That was NOT cool at ALL.

Instead I listened to 9 Crimes by Damien Rice and grumbled a lot.

People, please stop being so ignorant. It makes the smart people die a little inside.

Twittering

Yeah. I got Twitter, too.

converse and Maureen Johnson-esque self-portraits

Big exciting news!
I have just acquired the most amazing magenta converse ever created.

They are so freaking cool.
I also had the inspiration from Maureen Johnson's book covers (look 'em up)
To make this little baby:

I think it basically rocks.
The setup and editing of this thing was intense. You have noooo idea.
Does it look like I'm showing you my butt? Maybe.
But I rather like my butt, so that all works out.

Anyway, had an AWESOME time with Olivia and the other homeschoolers today at the park.
I freaking love homeschoolers.
I still want to go to high school in the fall, but I will be hanging with those kids every chance I get.
Anyway...
I kinda want to watch the Twilight movie. Random desire, but what can you do?
I think I need to buy it.
LOL.

disenchanted

If I'm so wrong
How can you listen all night long?
Now will it matter
Long after I'm gone
Because you never learned a goddamn thing...
You're just a sad song
With nothing to say
About a lifelong
Wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong
This never meant nothing to ya....

So go
Go away
Just go
Run away
But where did you run to
And where did you hide?
Go find another way
Price you pay....

My Chemical Romance
Is basically the most amazing band I've ever heard in my life.
No matter what music comes and goes,
It will always be them that I'm addicted to.
Go listen to them.
You won't be disappointed.

I promise.

This never meant nothing to ya...
At all...
At all...
At all.

exhaustion

Sometimes, I just need a break. I don't want to talk to my friends, I just need rest.
I think tomorrow I'll go for a walk before class.
Sometimes we all need a break from the rat race.

It's an art

dolls

I do love creating things.
S
o I have three dolls; Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
Three Harry Potter action figures made by Mattel that I love and adore.
But the longer I own them the scarcer their clothes become. What do I do about it? Make some!

Now I don't claim to be any kind of seamstress wonder.
Take for example Ron's tangerine-orange "practice pants."
They're turning out to look a bit like skintight orange towels wrapped around his legs.
Not attractive.

Luckily, Hermione's tye-dye dress-from-a-sock turned out to be quite nice.
I used some yellow felt for a cinched-waist belt and a hair ribbon.
I also sewed a button to the back to help hold it on.

It was a fairly average sneezy afternoon otherwise.
Still healing...

Perhaps an introduction is in order....

Hello.
I'm... well, you all can call me A, but my friends call me Audwee. And that isn't my name either. Go figure.
I'm a girl.
I like Harry Potter.
My Chemical Romance is basically amazing.
I'm a liberal so forgive me if my political views offend you.
I write.
I like blogging.
I like soup.
I like Dumbledore. He's my homeboy.

And lastly, yes I know you might think I'm lame. I already know. Took the words right out of your mouth. So don't bother saying so.
Much love. ~A.

. . . . .

Miracles

The world needs more miracles.

.....

Oh the joys of being ill

My healing remedy, for the curious:

Eat lots of soup. I'm not being cliche, either. Do it.
Read. A lot. Online stories, books, whatever you like.
Listen to a TON of My Chemical Romance. Their music is basically magic and healing.
Look at a bunch of Gerard Way pictures, 'cause his face will heal you.
Drink more water than you ever thought possible.
Shower a lot.
Pee a lot more than usual because of water intake.

Sleep.
Enjoy your pajama time.
Heal.

I hate being sick. ~A.
